Cognia, a nonprofit organization that offers quality assurance to educational institutions, districts, and service providers, has granted the Linden City School District full accreditation. Superintendent, Dr. Timothy Thurman, verified the accreditation, which attests to Linden City Schools' dedication to quality, willingness to submit to external evaluation, and desire to provide the highest standard of learning possible for its students. In addition to submitting to both internal and external evaluation, the district must develop a continuous improvement plan. The accreditation of schools is valid for six years as long as they remain in good standing. Cognia's president and CEO, Dr. Mark A. Elgart, commended the Linden City School District for increasing significant indicators that affect student learning and achieving rigorous requirements.
Dr. Thurman thanks the accrediting team for their hard work over the last year and stated that every school in the district had been granted the highest accreditation level. The district's commitment to quality and ongoing development was demonstrated by the accrediting team's persistent efforts in obtaining this recognition.
